Crews were called at around 2:30 a.m. on June 25 to the 3000 block of Hudson Street in Canton, where there was a fast-moving fire that spread to multiple buildings, officials say.

In total, eight homes and four rooftop decks were damaged.

The injured firefighter was taken to the hospital for treatment and evaluation by paramedics. No other injuries were reported.

Several families were displaced by the fire and are being assisted into temporary housing.
